Customer requirements
A brand-new multi-use games area (MUGA) and play area was planned to be installed as part of a housing development site in Brize Norton. The customer required a complete solution for this particular installation including groundworks, supply and installation of play equipment, fencing, surfacing and line marking. They also required asphalt footpaths to link the MUGA and play area together.
Carrying out the work
The complete MUGA and play area project was completed in phases to ensure a quality finish and well managed site.
The first phase was the MUGA installation, followed by play equipment and asphalt paving and the final stage was the installation of perimeter fencing around the whole area.
MUGA Installation
The first phase of the project was the construction of a 28 metre x 17 metre asphalt surfaced MUGA.
This involved groundworks, edging, stoning-up, asphalt surfacing and installation of fencing and line marking.

Play Equipment
The second phase was the installation of various play equipment across two areas followed by asphalt footpaths which linked the play areas to the MUGA.
Perimeter Fencing
To complete the project, fencing was installed to the perimeter of the area, providing a safe outdoor space for the community to enjoy.

The final result
The full project was completed to an excellent standard by our team at MAC Groundworks. The team had to overcome initial issues with the ground conditions but ensured the project was delivered on budget and on time. The customer was very pleased with the quality of the installation and customer service.
